9th November 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 17-26 knts Surf / Sea State: 1-3 ft Air Temperature: 9C Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy, sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Excellent session. Rigged 5.0m and wave board as Impi was just changing down. Nice NW with some waves to play on on the inside and rolling swell outback. Had some good long runs out but then ended up downwind due to some lulls and a bail out from a vertical aerial ;-) Found that I couldn't get back upwind and the wind eased off a bit so ended up coming in for a larger fin, 29cm which is all I have to change up to. With the bigger fin I was well ppwered up and flying upwind and had more long runs out the back. Then the wind cranked up again in the afternoon and I had to pack up as I couldn't hold on any longer. Good to meet Simon who was out windsurfing, another member to add to the FON massif and some of the usual suspects out kiting. Great conditions apart from the lull late morning when I could have done with a bigger sail, otherwise would have been 5 stars. |
